THE 2013 COAST FILM FESTIVAL
October 2013 saw the launch of the first Coast Film Festival based in Cromer and Sheringham, two fishing communities perched on the eastern edge of Britain. This beautiful part of Norfolk has for centuries attracted artists and writers, and now photographers and film makers also make their way here to discover their own creative pathways
The Film Festival has been spearheaded by a small group of local professionals and enthusiasts, hosted under the banner of the highly successful annual COAST Arts Festival. The short film competition attracted a wonderful array of films and culminated in a fabulous final awards night screening.
The community strand "Green Screen Stories" received a great round of local applause, and other invited screenings, guest appearances and masterclass events were hugely appreciated by all who attended.

THE COAST ARTS FESTIVAL
Cromer and Sheringham are just 4 miles apart, yet very different in their outlook and fishing heritage... historic rivalries which still hold true today. Locals say you may need a passport to pass from one town to the other!
But the truth is, both are great towns with a strong community spirit, full of history and character, beautiful views, clean beaches, wide-open skies, great seafood, pubs & restaurants... birthplace to the COAST Arts Festival, and now the COAST Film Festival.
Even in late October we can assure you of bags of interest and very a warm welcome!
